When Hollywood private detective Ben Landon (William Windom) is murdered while investigating a case, his adult children Holly and Nick (Nancy Dolman, Daren Kelly) decide to keep his agency going. Ben returns to Earth as a ghost to help his children run the agency, and be the father he never was to them.
